[1] Until Evans moved to Aspen, Colorado in the 1990s, he and his former wife (née Susan Baker, b. 1940) were members of the museum’s Society of Fellows. Evans was also an advocate and avid collector of contemporary art. During the early 1960s, Evans worked in France and Germany and continued conducting business in Europe into the 1990s.
